Wirig Reunion!

The First weekend of August was MY first Wirig Family Reunion! I loved meeting all the new cousins and seeing everyone else again! I love how big this family is and how close everyone is... the love just radiates around everyone! I am so blessed to be part of it. It was named the Wirig Roundup 2008. There was a lot of food and swimming, s'mores making, talent show, birthday party, baby shower, girl time/boy time, and games and horse back riding. Sunday morning, everyone got together at an outdoor spot by the Timp Temple and had a little meeting sharing testimonies of family and this true true gospel I am also lucky to be part of. A lot of the time during the reunion I got really emotional, but I was pretty great at holding it back, because these days, I am a bawl baby!.... you know, didnt want to come accross as a cry baby to my new family :) But it really just hit me how blessed I am, to be part of the Katz family, but also to now be part of the Wirig Family Forever! My heart was squished and
still is just thinking about it. I love all of them! They are great examples to me!

ALso right now, we are just getting ready for this little girl to come be part of our little family here in November. Its crazy she is only 3 months away. Justin has been working hard, painting her room, and we just get more and more excited every day!!!

Our Hike and Washington

A couple weeks ago, Justin took me hiking up to the Timpanogos Caves. It was really fun. I have never been there before, and I would say its a nice little hike. The caves themselves were awesome. Really cold in there, but its crazy what nature does over the years! ANyway, the pictures aren't too great, but go there in person and its really pretty inside. ANyways, it was nice to just take some time in the day and hang out with my best bud! Oh, while we were hiking up, the signs say that if you hear falling rocks to run... well we heard what sounded like was a huge boulder falling right on top of us, and did we run? No, not really, we just kinda stood there looking up like a cartoon, waiting for it to fall on us, anyway we finally saw it and stepped out of the way just in time.. it wasnt quite a boulder but it was a very big rock coming at a very fast pace :)
Wednesday morning at like 4:00 a.m. Justin took Laci and my sis-in-law Kara and Me to the airport. He dropped us off and we were headed to Washington to go to our friend Jana's wedding and to hang out with my fam. I was super sad Justin wasnt coming and I was about to be gone for 10 days. That was the first time we ever were away from each other overnight, so it was really weird and lonely and I missed him. ANyway, so we rode the Airplane and my dad picked us up. Then Ashley met up with us and we took the ferry over to Seattle for the day.

Yeah so we rode the ferry over to Seattle, walked around, shopped a little, and then Ran back to the ferry but who cares cause we missed it, so we waited and waited for the next one. After we got home I dont even remember what we did cause we were all so tired. Pretty sure we fell asleep. The next morning we woke up and got ready and went to the Seattle Temple for Jana and Nate's wedding! IT was AWeSOMe! SHe looked so pretty and they are so happy!

SO everything was great! Her reception was on a lake and they rode off on a boat to their hotel that was on the water~! Awesome huh?! So then we just went home and to sleep again. The rest of the trip was kind of a blurr but fun. WE walked around old POrt Orchard where I live and went to a park and looked at all the boats and antique shops and stuff.
Sunday, I took Laci to the airport and then hung out with my little sis Larisa! I love her... and cant wait for her to come down to school next year!
So I think my family all felt sorry for me and realized how much I was bummin' around the house without Justin, so they decided to suprise me and flew him out for the rest of the 5 days there! I was SOOOOOO happy! It really didnt turn into a suprise because, well, nobody in my family is good at keeping a secret, but they tried and thats all that matters!
WE just hung out, went on drives, went to Old TOwn Gig Harbor and ate lunch and walked around and had some ice cream. My Aunt Tara and her family came and so did my Grandma and Grandpa the last day we were there! IT was fun to see them. WE went and watched a 12 stake Dance Festival that my mom was very busy with all year! Turned out great! Like 2500 youth all dancing together! Crazy maddness but it was awesome! Now it's good to be home. Everything with the baby is going swell. We can't wait for her to come out!

Its been a While...

SO it has been a while since I've updated this. The rest of June was fun and finally summer outside. Justin and I traveled down to St. George to go to Justin's old mission companion and roommate, John's Wedding. The St George Temple is awesome! We have just been working and playing since then. Justin also got 2 of the 3 pins out of his finger from his surgery.... wahoo. Now his nail is just falling off and it looks even more painful then it ever did, but apparently thats not the case so thats good. The 4th of July weekend was fun, relaxing, and just spent the day with the Wirigs, then we watched the Thanksgiving Point Fireworks. Oh Micheal, Justin's youngest brother, got his mission call to Denmark!!! We are way excited for him, just feel bad he has to wait all the way until November to report to the MTC... eventhough we are VERY NOT sad he will be around that much longer... we love that he always is willing to go swimming, play games, or just whatever with us! On monday I had my Ultrasound to find out what I was having... I mean obviously it was a baby, just didn't know if it was a boy or a girl. So 20 weeks now, we know. Justin and I were sure it was a boy going in there, but then we were wrong. We are having a little baby GIRL!!! YIPPEEEE. I love girls.. I mean I love boys too, but I'm really excited its a girl. So, now its more real. I feel her moving everyday... and she tap dances on my bladder.... so I spend about 90% of my time in our pretty bathroom :) Everything is healthy and its the COOLEST thing to see your baby right there on the tv. I can't wait until November! Anyway, thats about it. I know it has arms, but they arent to be found in ANY of the pictures... I should have asked the lady

The REST of CALI trip!

So anyways, the boys went fishing while the girls hung out and went shopping. The next day we all woke up early and headed out for Disneyland. If you ever want the BEST time of your life at Disneyland, go with the Wirig family for the best experience you will ever have there. I love watching everyone get so excited, the rides all planned out of where and what time we go on them, the fast pass runner in between rides, everyone singing and walking perfectly to the beat of the music on disneyland's Main Street. Hands in the air and smiles from EVERYONE watching, its like a musical! :) Really it makes me so happy. So we went, and it was my birthday so I got to go the the City Hall and Goofy got to sing happy birthday to me, while the worker gave me a button that said my name and happy birthday on it. So all throughout the day, everyone was telling me happy birthday, not just the workers, but random people too. A little girl named Jordan asked if she could come to my birthday! SO first ride, PETER PAN! Here is everyone getting onto Peter Pan~

Oh yeah, the second ride we went on was Pinocchio! We were the only one's on the ride, and when we got off two disneyland workers gave our whole group free Hopper Passes to Disneyland and California Adventure with Fast Passes to the most popular rides! Its was an awesome suprise. WE are part of Disney's year of A MILLION DREAMS! THANKS WALT! Anyway that was fun. We stayed from9 in the morning until 11 at night. It was a long, fun-filled day.
Our last night on the beach we all took pictures and enjoyed the sunset.

Friday we all headed to San Diego. WE took a tour of the Midway. An old Aircraft Carrier. It was HUGE but pretty cool to see how people lived on there for so long and how perfect everything had to run in order to survive!

After we went to Old Town San Diego and ate some lunch. Then that night we went to a Padres Game where they played the New York Mets! Padres WON!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PADRES... we are now fans!

It was a way fun trip, I love spending time with family any chance I get. I love that Justin's is SO close and we get to see them all the time! I love them!

CALIFORNIA VACA!!!

OH MAN!!!! I Love vacations... especially when they are with the people you love most. The Wirig family took a road trip out to Oceanside, CA where we stayed for a week at a beachouse! I really had so much fun. I love the beach... and everything that has to do with it, watching the surfers catch a wave :) or family out catching waves of their own boogie boarding. One of God's creations that we don't get to see everyday so I am grateful we got to spend some time out there.
The trip there was fun. We rode with Justin's brother BJ and his cute prego wife Katie. I'm glad cause I didnt feel as bad asking to take a pit stop every second. Only got car sick once and then we were on our way again. :) We got to the house in the early evening and it was awesome. We spent time just hanging out and talking, playing games, had a beach day and all sorts of other things. One morning there was a big huge aircraft carrier unloading troops that had been out to see for months. So thats what you see these boys pointing to out the window. Helicopters and boats going to and from the big ship. It was pretty cool. In the picture in the middle you can see justin's bummed middle finger.. nicely wrapped like a corndog. He shatterd it a couple weeks ago playing softball, and had surgery just a couple days before we left for cali. I felt bad for him. He cant swim or get it wet or dirty at all, and I know he wanted to go boogy-his-board bad! SOrry jus!
